2010 It's now or never

Hello to all of my imaginary readers... it is that time again, blog time, and even though my cup runeth over with work I shall devote at least 30-60 minutes to this entry in order to connect that with my well deserved lunch hour.

It was the year of our lord 2004 I got invited to a 32 man tournament at a friend's house, see I was a "bit" of a sports gambler, and he had one spot open so he rang me up, and I told him I was "Poker Fodder". I had never played live texas hold em and my expierence consisted of TV examination... So fuck it let's do this, it was a 10$ buy in... Long story short... TOOK IT DOWN for 200$ NICE!!!! and thus I was hooked. In retrospect I ran good that day but still made a couple of moves which led me to believe I had some natural skill.

On 2006 I started playing online on Pacific Poker, playing only freerolls got up to 650$ (I didn' have a job back then) and then went on to lose it all on a sick month, A year later I did it again this time on Paradise poker freerolls alone got up to about 400$ transferred 200$ to PokerStars... turned that into 1200$ plus about 600$ which I sold to different friends. Then something happened a good friend of mine made a BIG score of 5K which basically threw me off my game for good... I had been playing Solid poker for 3 years, rarely playing outside my limits and doing well and he in one night had achieved what I couldn't in such a long time.

Since then I haven't been able to get my groove back, which sucks. Anyway I'm down to 267$ and a month ago I got married and time for poker is scarce... how scarce? well let's just say Alan Harper's sex life scarce...Plus my internet connection isn't up at my new place so whenever I do get time, I can't actually play so what I'm doing is watching more and reading more about Poker of course.

I think I have decent skills but I don't cope with losses well... at ALL. This next year is big, money is going to become an issue and if I can't produce real results I may have to quit. So with that in mind I've decided to set some realistic goals for 2010.

1.- I need to change my appproach, it's a business now, so my goal is to produce 100-200$ a month to be sold in the "Black Market" (If its a source of income, the wife won't complain... TOO MUCH).

2.- I need to increase my "Base Bankroll" (OBVIOUSLY) to about 3,000$ by the end of the year.

3.- I "WANT" to qualify to ONE international tournament the LAPT and UKPT are the most realistic cause of their low buy in (500$-1000$)... My dream is to play in the EPT and WSOP one day, However this particular goal is probably for 2011

4.- I will play more cash games and less tournaments, this helps with the time restraints, plus I think my game is suited for cash games more than tourneys.

5.- I want to play the Sunday Million (215$ buy in) at least 5 times this year, qualifying through a Satellite OF COURSE. (I qualified a couple of times last year but didn't play... PUSSY)

6.- I want to end the year as a steady (more than 6 months) Silver Star and reap the Rewards. (I played 2 months as a Silver Star last year)

Finally I know you're thinking this is farfetched... and it is, however in order to obtain these goals I need to make about 10 bucks a day. No i'm not going to come out ahead EVERY DAY... but I'm not going to quit while I'm ahead 10$ for the day... again.

Este Barça es el mejor equipo de todos los tiempos?

No...

Pero creo que me adelante un poco. Estoy sentado a punto de ver la final del Mundial de Clubes (La intercontinental maquillada) se enfrentan Estudiantes y el Barça Predicciones? 2-0 Barça y ojo que van 22 segundos del partido.

Barça hoy se convertira en el primer equipo en ganar 6 de 6... una hazaña INCREIBLE y más en el futbol moderno, el futbol de 60-70 partidos al año, comerciales y de jugadores que quieren llevarse a 6 sin levantar la cabeza.

Ok entonces porque no es este Barça el mejor de todos los tiempos? no voy a desacreditar el logro de este equipo, pero si pienso en aquellos tiempos (Uy por poco Estudiantes, pero me mantengo firme que el Barça gana hoy... Los narradores de Fox Sports merecen morir quemados envueltos en banderas de Brasil)ok vuelvo al punto... pienso en los tiempos que me toco ver tipos como francescoli, valderrama, baggio, romario y si... maradona... tipos que no eran especímenes físicos, tipos que no se movian mas de lo necesario... que no hacían UNA de más.

Cuando el futbol se jugaba 4-3-3 los medios eran medio centro, medio derecho y medio izquierdo(Y XAVIIIII... se asusto y no le pegó...) un mejor futbol sin duda, sin carrileros, sin medios destructores. Lo mejor de todo esto es que el Barça gana volviendo a la fórmula de antaño... solo puedo imaginar esas prácticas a 3 toques, a 2, hasta a 1!!

No se si este Barça le ganaba a los grandes de antes, pero si se que en el fondo desearía que el Milan copiara la fórmula de 6-7 canteranos, jugar de primera y crear alegrias que identifiquen a sus fanáticos con el equipo como nunca antes... En el fondo quiero que TODOS los equipos repitan esa fórmula. Que a técnicos como Mourinho, Capello, Van Gaal los aten a una Nevera y los empujen al Mar, y que a tipos como Guardiola, Ancelotti y en resumen los que piensen en jugar primero y ganar después les reconozcan su talento.

Es todo, me voy porque el juego esta entretenido y mas tarde empieza Fiore Milan...
